School Resources for COVID-19 Closure

March 26, 2020

Honaker Elementary School Parents:

Teachers are preparing the next packets of distance learning work at this time.

Distance Learning Materials will be distributed at Honaker Elementary School in the Student Pick Up Line on the following dates:

· Monday, March 30th, 2020 from 8:30 A.M. – 3:30 P.M.

· Tuesday, March 31st, 2020 from 8:30 A.M. – 3:30 P.M.

Please make arrangements to come by during these designated times to pick up your child’s learning materials.

Collection of completed work will also be done during this time as well. Please note, Bus drivers doing meal drop off WILL NOT be collecting work, you must bring it to the school.

SPRING PICTURES ARE IN – If your student had spring pictures taken, they are now in and will also be distributed on March 30th & 31st. Due to the delicate nature of pictures we request that you pick these up from school rather than having them delivered with your meal.

PRE-K & Kindergarten Registration is still on going. You may come by on the above dates to pick up an enrollment packet if you have a child that will be going to Pre-K or Kindergarten next school year.

Please be patient as we collect and deliver work to your vehicle on these days. We all will be practicing social distancing and taking precautions in regards to your health and that of our HES Faculty and Staff.

Should you have any questions please give us a call. We look forward to seeing you all in the drop off/pick up line again as we have missed you all during this time. Stay healthy and safe!

Hello All,

With the recent uncertainty and school closings, we have prepared the following plan for students to contact us. Students who are in crisis or are "at risk" that may need to speak with us will be able to do so through Google Hangouts. We ask those students to reach out to us through email and we will set up a time for a "hangout". We feel that this will ease some of the anxiety of being away from the building and not having access to our normal "check-ins" and we will still be able to communicate. We just wanted to let you all know that we do have a plan in place to continue to be available for our students.
